Promised Tasks: A New Standard for Team Accountability
In meetings, it’s easy to say “I’ll handle that” — but what happens when those commitments are forgotten, dropped, or delayed? The new Promised feature in Performance Scoring’s Task Management system turns verbal agreements into visible, trackable accountability.
What Are Promised Tasks?
Promised tasks are a new classification of task within Performance Scoring. They represent formal commitments—made during meetings, reviews, or project discussions—that have a direct impact on team execution.
Unlike personal or routine to-dos, Promised tasks are more than reminders. They are a public declaration: I will get this done.
How It Works
Users can now toggle the Promised switch at the top of the task creation window when assigning or accepting a task. Once marked as Promised:
- The task counts toward a user’s Task Completion Percentage
- It becomes part of performance metrics visible to managers
- It integrates with existing modules like Meetings, Projects, and Performance Reviews
Why It Matters
In most organizations, people juggle a long list of priorities, and too often, the important commitments made in meetings go untracked. Promised tasks solve that. Here’s how:
- Builds transparency by publicly flagging team-impacting tasks
- Encourages ownership of work that matters beyond the individual
- Improves performance insights by measuring what was actually followed through
With task performance now tied to scoring, this is more than an optional checkbox. It’s a cultural shift toward measured accountability.
A New Era of Commitment Tracking
This launch is just the beginning. Promised is the first in a series of upgrades to the task system in Performance Scoring. Soon, deeper integrations, escalation logic, and predictive accountability insights will make task management smarter—and even more human.
